Day one is just the beginning at Ernst & Young

Day one.  It’s when you stand up to be counted.  It’s what you’ve worked for, prepared for, waited for.  Where you start using your skills and initiative to make a difference.  From the day you join us, we’re committed to helping you achieve your potential.
As one of our technology risk professionals, you’ll help clients improve the competitive advantage of their information technology operations through enhanced cost efficiency and managing the risks associated with running their systems. As part of a market-leading global network of 6,000 technology risk professionals, you’ll gain valuable experience across industries and geographies and have the opportunity to deepen your subject matter knowledge.

In your role as an IT Risk and Assurance graduate you’ll be responsible for:

  • Making a technical contribution to client engagements
  • Working effectively as a team member sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress
  • Assisting with the preparation of reports and schedules for clients and other parties

From day one as a graduate you’ll have responsibility, and be encouraged to set ambitious goals for your career.  You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and receive generous support from the firm and your colleagues to gain some post-graduate qualifications. At Ernst & Young you’ll discover what it is like to perform at your best.

Welcome to the ISSS for 2010

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Welcome to all new students, and to our existing members who are returning for another year.

For those who don’t know us, the ISSS is a student society dedicated to enriching the experience of our members by providing them with opportunities to improve their academic and professional skills. Whilst the introduction of the Melbourne Model means that our membership base is more diverse than ever, our goals remain the same. This year, the ISSS will be running a wide variety of events, ensuring that all of our members, regardless of their background, will have something to gain from us. We also like to have fun, and we will be hosting numerous social events, including a Charity Night, multiple barbeques, and our highlight event of the year, the ISSS Ball.

Our first event for the new year, the Optus Welcome Back BBQ, will be held on Thursday during week 1, from 12-2pm. Details for all of our upcoming events will be posted on flyers in the ICT Building, as well as on this webpage, once they are finalised.

Sign up for ISSS membership at the ISSS table for just $4 ($2 for Student Union members). We will be on the ground floor of the ICT Building (111 Barry St, near the Law Building) 12-2pm, every weekday for the first two weeks of semester. Membership is open to students from all courses.

To join our mailing list, please email contact@isss.com.au.

DIS Graduate BBQ

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

Goodbye and good luck. That’s our message to our outgoing students. We hope your experience with us was a positive one, and without getting all sentimental, we’re going to miss you guys. But you’re not leaving without one more throwback to your uni days- a classic university BBQ. Think cooked snags of varying quality, beer, wine and a few laughs with your mates. It’s all going down on Friday 30th October at 1pm – after your Industry Project presentations! Before you step out into the big bad world, have one last look at the life you’re leaving behind. It’ll be worth it. We promise.

Love,
Your ISSS
